SIA-Licensed Handlers
Handlers hold a valid relevant SIA licence and are checked before deployment.

Colosseum K9 provides security dog handlers across the UK for construction sites, warehouses, industrial premises, vacant properties and other exposed locations. Our security dog handler services combine visible patrols, checks of vulnerable access points and controlled response, with duties and hours agreed around your site risks.
Professional K9 Security
Before cover starts, we agree what will be delivered, how it will be monitored and what evidence you will receive.
Handlers hold a valid relevant SIA licence and are checked before deployment.
Operational dog teams are trained and assessed for controlled general-purpose security work.
Deployments are aligned with recognised operational principles for general-purpose security dogs.
Screening supports responsible deployment to commercial and higher-risk premises.
Agreed control, book-on and book-off monitoring, patrol evidence, incident reporting and escalation.
Evidence of relevant insurance, RAMS, assignment instructions and team credentials can be supplied during procurement.
Security dog handler cover is most effective on sites with valuable assets, large perimeters, limited out-of-hours activity or repeated problems with theft, trespass and vandalism. Select your site type to see the typical risks and recommended security approach.
Protection for plant, machinery, materials, access points and changing site perimeters.
Visible patrols for stock, loading areas, empty buildings and premises exposed outside working hours.
Visible K9 patrols protect remote equipment, cable, machinery and other high-value operating areas.
Deterrence for vehicle crime, trespass, antisocial behaviour and unauthorised access.

Dog handler cover may be appropriate when one or more of these conditions apply:
Tell us what needs protecting, when the site is exposed and what has already happened. We will recommend proportionate cover without adding security your site does not need.
Fast, Clear Mobilisation
We identify what is exposed, agree the right level of cover and deploy a suitable dog-handler team with clear instructions and reporting.
We identify exposed assets, vulnerable access points, blind areas and the times your site is most at risk.
You receive a clear proposal covering hours, patrol expectations, reporting, escalation and welfare arrangements.
A trained, site-suitable team receives clear instructions and books on through the agreed site contact and escalation process.
You receive recorded patrol activity, observations, evidence photographs and prompt escalation of incidents.

Construction Site Security
Dog handler patrols were introduced where existing measures were not providing sufficient out-of-hours deterrence across an exposed rural construction site.

Clear answers about pricing, short-notice cover, insurance, qualifications, patrol evidence and the level of cover your site may need.
Pricing depends on location, cover hours, site size, risk level and the number of teams required. We review the requirement first and provide a clear quotation matched to the exposure, so you are not paying for unnecessary cover.
Timing depends on the location, shift pattern, assignment instructions, welfare arrangements and team availability. Tell us when cover is needed; we will confirm what can be arranged before deployment.
A trained handler-and-dog team carries out visible and irregular patrols, checks vulnerable areas, records observations and follows the agreed escalation procedure. Book-on and book-off monitoring, patrol evidence and incident reporting are included as agreed for the deployment.
Handlers hold the appropriate SIA licence and undergo BS 7858 vetting. Recognised dog handler training includes NASDU where applicable. We confirm the assigned team’s credentials, with BS 8517-1 aligned operating practices and controlled handling.
Yes, subject to location, site requirements and team availability. Night, weekend, temporary and ongoing cover can be arranged where suitable, with patrols and reporting agreed before deployment.
CCTV can monitor and record selected areas, but it cannot patrol blind areas or provide a physical response. A trained security dog team adds visible deterrence, active checks, earlier detection and controlled escalation. Some sites benefit from using both.
The dog stays with its trained handler. Patrols are planned around workers, visitors, entrances and public areas. Any concern is reported using the agreed process.
